  • Cost Savings. The average small business owner spends over 10 hours personally, each month, accounting for the business. If your average billing rate is $50 per hour, you may be spending more than $500 of your time per month. Also an external bookkeeper doesn't take up valuable office space, or have to be trained on new software. An external bookkeeper / accountant means: No payroll taxes; no employee benefits; no office overhead; pay for time on task only. All bookkeeping services and accounting work is done off-site at Bookkeepers Plus.

A: An audit is performed by a Certified Public Accountant, CPA. Some businesses have them performed because the bank from which they seek financing requires it. Other businesses seek audits because they plan to be publicly traded.

An audit must be performed by an independent CPA — one that is not presently involved in the business in any way.  Bookkeepers Plus cannot do audits or auditing. However if you are a client of Bookkeepers Plus we will work with the CPA to get the audit done. Because Bookkeepers Plus uses Quickbooks to record all your financial transactions we can send an electronic copy of all your accounting to the CPA for their review.
